Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan honoured in Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards

Mumbai, Dec 4 (IANS) Bollywood bagged the best award for Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Fashion” at the Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards here Friday evening.

Priyanka’s father Ashok Chopra received the award on her behalf.

“Oh, I am so happy for her. She has done it again. And getting an award from the patriarch and creators of the industry is a great thing,” Ashok Chopra told IANS.

Hrithik Roshan was presented the best award for Ashutosh Gowariker’s “Jodhaa Akbar”.

The fourth edition of the Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards, which honour excellence in cinema and television was held at a five-star hotel here.

Aamir Khan won two awards – best and best director – for his directorial debut “Taare Zameen Par”.

Actor Imran Khan, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, director Yash Chopra, screenwriter Amole Gupte and Prasoon Joshi attended the event. Oscar-award wining Sir Ben Kingsley was also present.

The fourth edition was postponed last year as a mark of respect to the victims of the 26/11 tragedy. The awards for 2009 will be distributed by the Producers’ Guild of India Dec 20.

The Guild jury, including Ravi Chopra, Ketan Desai, and Vashu Bhagnani, had chosen the winners.

Hollywood director formatting a Bollywood movie – KITES

ratner517Well known American filmmaker Brett Ratner (RED DRAGON) is editing English version of Bollywood blockbuster KITES to fit in the Western psyche, according to reports.

It may be the first for a Hollywood director formatting a Bollywood . Reports suggest that intercultural romance thriller KITES has two versions-one for domestic audience and another English version for international audiences. While the domestic version has been completed, the international version is still being formatted. The two versions were reportedly shot simultaneously in Hindi and English in Las Vegas (Nevada), New Mexico, and Los Angeles (California) in USA.

Bollywood Remuneration

Recently when tamil superstar Rajnikanth got a whopping 15 crore+ remuneration for his comeback vehicle Sivaji, it came as a schocker for quite a few, including the chennai income tax department… But jokes apart, have you ever wondered how much our stars at home get paid per ? Have you ever wondered how much they spend on themselves during lavish outdoor shoots and on their crazy clubbing and partying s-excapades? Well we have the answer.

The highest paid in the hindi industry is undoubtedly Aamir Khan, who gets anything between 8-10 crores, only for his part as an .

Shahrukh Khan, although popularly believed to be the “King”, comes a close second to Aamir, with remuneration varying from 7-8 crores.

The third highest paid is with 6-8 crores per .

Then comes Hrithik Roshan, who should probably get a sum more than that of Shahrukh or Salman, after Dhoom 2 and Jodha Akbar, if it weren’t for his home productions or films with the “quirky” Chopra’s. However, Hrithik reportedly collected 4 crores for Jodha Akbar, this being his highest.

Then comes Saif Ali Khan who gets anyhting between 3-4 crores for his services.

Suprisingly, Amitabh Bachchan collects a nominal 3.5-4 crores, for each of his films.

Rani Mukerjee increased her remuneration by 2.5 crores after her Tara Rum Pum, thus becoming the highest paid in the hindi industry ever.

Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan, both get anything between 2-3 crores per .

Ajay Devgan recieved a whopping 3 crores for his upcoming, Halla Bol.

Sanjay Dutt was paid 1.5 crores for each of the Munnabhai series.

Kajol setteled with 1 crore for her comeback, Fanaa.

And finally, Preity Zinta bagged a total sum of 1-1.5 crores for her Last Lear.

Beautiful eyes , Pretty smile , tall -fair young model transformed to Actress Barbara Mori. The story was leaked by press and it many of them assumed to be like this,

“Jay ( Hrithik ) as a salsa instructor in LAS VEGAS. A spanish women Natasha(Barbara) comes to him to learn the salsa.Though they don’t speak the same language, it does not stand in the way of love.”
