According to media reports, “BLUE” cost between Rs 80-100 crore and is the most expensive Hindi film ever made. The crew includes two Oscar winners, including composer AR Rahman and sound designer Resul Pookutty. Additionally, it features Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue, and Pete Zucarini, the underwater director of photography from Pirates of the Caribbean (savvy?). And then there are a host of stars including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan and Lara Dutta. Akshay Kumar plays a rich man in the Bahamas who loves his women and the good life. He befriends Sanjay Dutt, a fisherman/diver who lives in a sprawling designer bungalow and flaunts a glamorous wife (Lara Dutta). There are vague references to Dutt’s dark memories about a sunken ship. The story takes a turn when Sam (Zayed Khan) flees from Bangkok and reaches Bahamas to avail help from his elder brother Sagar. Then villian Gulshan (Rahul Dev) follows Sam to the Bahamas, the on-site filming locale. But will they find treasure in the end? This is the most awaited big budget movie in this year, so don’t miss it, even though it’s your typical treasure story, loose script with only average Direction. Having AR Rahman and Kylie (Down Unda’) Minogue together in a Bollywood Bahamas film has sufficient promise itself alone.

LAMHAA is an upcoming 2009 Bollywood social-action thriller film written and directed by Rahul Dholakia. Set in Kashmir, the film is a story about an army man, played by Sanjay Dutt, and his love interest, played by Bipasha Basu, in the midst of the various issues that Kashmir had faced for years. It also features Anupam Kher and Kunal Kapoor in supporting roles.
Kashmir… once known as a paradise on earth, it is now a playground of Devils. A company is generating millions of unaccountable dollars that benefit all powers- from politicians and leaders to bureaucrats in the Indian and Pakistani intelligence. From high ranking army and police officers to the militants and their supporters, everyone gets the piece of the pie.

Karisma Kapoor had been finalized to play the female lead in the film, but she opted out at the last minute because she feared shooting in the troubled Kashmir valley where a significant part of the film is going to be shot. Bipasha Basu, Ameesha Patel and Sonam Kapoor were considered for the same role, but Basu was eventually finalized to play the female lead.

November 2, 2009 — The Little BThe makers of the film ‘Aladdin’ were apprehensive about the key sequence in their film which required the character played by legendary Amitabh Bachchan to kneel before Sanjay Dutt’s character and also touch his feet. The scene was an important part of the film’s narrative where Genius-the Genie (played by Big B) surrenders before the ringmaster (played by Sanjay Dutt). Sujoy and others feared how exactly millions of Amitabh Bachchan fans would accept this scene. For Sanjay Dutt it was also challenging since Amitabh Bachchan is too big a name to be kneeling down. But, given the professionalism of the Shehenshah of Bollywood everything went on perfectly as Big B was game for the scene and understood its importance. The film does convey the message of good’s defeat over evil and the scene heightens the impact of the final result. “That’s the beauty of working with Mr. Bachchan”, says Sujoy, “He lets himself be driven. We were a bunch of kids wondering how to approach Sir to do this scene and there he was game to do whatever went well with the character. He has always stated that once he is committed to a project, he doesn’t protest on anything. This is why we could can such a crucial scene without any hindrance. It is indeed one of the highlights of the film.”

Lucky Ali born as Maqsood Mehmood Ali is an Indian singer songwriter, composer and actor. Lucky is best known for his soulful but strikingly simple ballad-style singing.

Recently when tamil superstar Rajnikanth got a whopping 15 crore+ remuneration for his comeback vehicle Sivaji, it came as a schocker for quite a few, including the chennai income tax department… But jokes apart, have you ever wondered how much our stars at home get paid per film? Have you ever wondered how much they spend on themselves during lavish outdoor shoots and on their crazy clubbing and partying s-excapades? Well we have the answer.
The highest paid actor in the hindi film industry is undoubtedly Aamir Khan, who gets anything between 8-10 crores, only for his part as an actor.
Shahrukh Khan, although popularly believed to be the “King”, comes a close second to Aamir, with remuneration varying from 7-8 crores.
The third highest paid actor is Salman Khan with 6-8 crores per film.
Then comes Hrithik Roshan, who should probably get a sum more than that of Shahrukh or Salman, after Dhoom 2 and Jodha Akbar, if it weren’t for his home productions or films with the “quirky” Chopra’s. However, Hrithik reportedly collected 4 crores for Jodha Akbar, this being his highest.
Then comes Saif Ali Khan who gets anyhting between 3-4 crores for his services.
Suprisingly, Amitabh Bachchan collects a nominal 3.5-4 crores, for each of his films.
Rani Mukerjee increased her remuneration by 2.5 crores after her Tara Rum Pum, thus becoming the highest paid actress in the hindi film industry ever.
Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan, both get anything between 2-3 crores per film.
Ajay Devgan recieved a whopping 3 crores for his upcoming, Halla Bol.
Sanjay Dutt was paid 1.5 crores for each of the Munnabhai series.
Kajol setteled with 1 crore for her comeback, Fanaa.
And finally, Preity Zinta bagged a total sum of 1-1.5 crores for her Last Lear.
Movie Review – Luck
August 28, 2009 — The Little BLuck, a 2009 movie, was an action packed thriller. I went in with the mind set of expecting something new and that’s what I got. The movie is a new concept which is executed well. The action is top-notch and the stunts are beyond normal Bollywood movies. The first scene in which Sanjay Dutt jumps in front of the train is very exciting as is the scene with the sharks. The actors have performed well, especially Ravi Kishan. The newcomer Shruti Hasan is pretty but only does a passable job. Imran Khan has acted well. Over all the movie was very enjoyable and a good time spent in a theater.
Does the new movie “Luck” live up to the buzz – New Movie Review
August 11, 2009 — The Little BThe latest Bollywood movie I watched is Luck, starring Sanjay Dutt, Danny Denzongpa, Mithun Chakraborty and Imran Khan along with some new girl Shruti Haasan. I am a huge fan of Imran khan and Sanjay Dutt. I have been head over heels over Imran Khan ever since I saw him in ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ and Sanjay Dutt will always hold his legendary place for ‘Munna Bhai’. However, this movie disappointed me as much as their last movie together ‘Kidnap’. The concept behind the movie ‘Luck’ was pretty good though I am sure it must be a copy of some Hollywood movie. Though the movie had some nice scenes it was pretty boring overall. Sanjay Dutt acted well as he is perfect person for the roll. Imran khan with his serious expression, tried real hard to break away from his ‘chocolate-boy’ image, but he did not get me so excited. Moreover, his romantic scenes with Ayesha – Shruti Hassan, looked uncomfortable and forced. Mithun and Danny did their part well. I’d say, while the movie was a disaster,I still have high hopes for our star Imran Khan. I am really looking forward for some head spinning rolls from him in future.
